1. Who We Are and Definitions

Our Lesson Credits & Refund Policy is part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Safety Guidelines explain how we handle data and how to stay safe. Where any of them repeats a rule, these Terms control.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the policies they reference, to the extent they apply to your use.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of an Educational Center or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use features that require acceptance.
We record the version of these Terms you accepted and when, and any acknowledgments you accepted at sign-up, when submitting a profile, or when sending a Request.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to create or control an account. Minor Students do not hold accounts. We ask for your date of birth to confirm this. For an Educational Center, we ask for the date of birth of its contact person before the Center sends its first Request.
Each person may hold one personal account. A Tutor who works with an Educational Center may also hold their own Tutor account.
Tutor accounts are available only to Tutors based in the United States. A Tutor must provide a U.S. street address, which we keep private.
Parents, Adult Students and Educational Centers may use the Platform from the United States or from other countries, subject to Section 18.
You may sign in with an email address and password or, where offered, with a Google account. If you sign in with Google for the first time, you must still choose your account type, confirm your date of birth and accept these Terms before using the Platform.
You must give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use of your account.
If we reasonably believe an account is controlled by someone under 18, we may suspend or close it and delete the related information.
Your account type (Parent or Adult Student, Tutor, or Educational Center) cannot be changed after sign-up. To use a different account type, create a new account with a different email address.
4. What the Platform Does and Does Not Do
The Platform helps Parents, Adult Students and Educational Centers find Tutors and send them Requests. It is a discovery and connection service. It also offers optional tools, such as messaging and Great Classroom, that Users may choose to use.
Great USA LLC is not a tutoring agency, a school, or an employer of Tutors, and is not a party to any Lesson or tutoring arrangement.
We do not:
- provide tutoring or choose a Tutor for anyone;
- set, negotiate or approve tutoring rates or discounts;
- schedule, confirm, supervise or monitor Lessons, including Lessons held in Great Classroom;
- choose, inspect or monitor Lesson locations;
- collect, hold, process or guarantee tutoring payments.
The display of a feature, subject or example on the Platform does not mean that every Tutor offers it or that it suits every student.
5. Independent Tutors
Tutors are independent and are not employees, agents, partners or franchisees of Great USA LLC.
Tutors decide their own subjects, methods, availability, hourly rates, extra-time discounts, group-lesson options, payment terms and cancellation practices, subject to these Terms and the law.
Tutors are responsible for their own taxes, licenses, insurance and legal obligations. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between Great USA LLC and any Tutor.
6. Minor Students and Parents
Minor Students may receive Lessons arranged through the Platform only through a Parent's account or through an approved Educational Center. The Parent or Center sends Requests and makes all arrangements. A Parent decides on supervision.
A Parent confirms that they are the parent or legal guardian of any Minor Student they arrange Lessons for, and that the information they provide is true.
A Parent is responsible for choosing a Tutor and for supervising their child's Lessons, including following Section 17 and the Safety Guidelines.
Any agreement, schedule, payment or arrangement with a Tutor is made directly between the Requester and that Tutor. Great USA LLC is not a party to it.
| Who | Main responsibilities |
|---|---|
| Parent or Adult Student | Accurate Requests; choosing a Tutor; supervising Minor Students; agreeing and paying fees directly; following Section 17 |
| Tutor | Accurate profile; lawful and safe Lessons; following Section 17; honoring their own stated prices and cancellation practice |
| Educational Center | Accurate profile; operating from qualifying premises; screening, licensing and supervising its own staff and contractors; obtaining any consent it needs before sharing a student's details in a Request |
| Great USA LLC | Operating search, Requests, messaging and Great Classroom as these Terms describe; reviewing profiles before publishing; checking teaching certificates as Section 11 describes; providing a way to report safety concerns and reviewing reports within a reasonable time; acting on violations we become aware of; cooperating with authorities as Section 17.4 describes |
7. Requests
7.1 Who may send a Request. A Parent, an Adult Student, or an Educational Center whose organization profile we have approved may send a Request. Tutors and administrators cannot send Requests. Receiving or viewing a Request costs nothing.
7.2 What a Request contains. A Request is sent to one Tutor and covers one Lesson. It states the subject and level, online or in person, the Lesson length, the number of students (up to four, if the Tutor offers group Lessons), preferred days and times, an optional start date, and a message. A Request may only include a subject, level and Lesson type that the Tutor offers.
7.3 Student name. A Requester may add a student's first name with a last initial (for example, "Adam M.") or initials only. Full student names are not permitted. The Tutor sees the student's name only after accepting the Request.
7.4 Limits. A Requester may have up to three open Requests for the same subject at a time, and only one open Request to the same Tutor for the same subject. These limits keep Requests serious and protect Tutors' time.
7.5 Response and expiry. The Tutor may accept or decline a Request. When declining, the Tutor chooses a reason and may add a short note. A Request that is not answered within 7 days expires. We notify both sides by email when a Request is sent, accepted, declined or cancelled.
7.6 Cancelling. The Requester may cancel an open Request at any time before the Tutor answers. When cancelling, the Requester chooses a reason and may add a short note. The reasons for a decline or cancellation are shown to the other side.
7.7 What acceptance means. Acceptance means only that the Tutor wishes to pursue the connection. It is not a confirmed Lesson, a guaranteed student or a guaranteed payment. The parties agree on the schedule, final price and other terms directly.
8. Communication and Contact Details
8.1 Before acceptance. Before a Tutor accepts a Request, all communication between the Tutor and the Requester takes place on the Platform. Requests, notes and messages must not include email addresses, phone numbers, website links, social media handles or any other way to contact someone off the Platform. The Platform may block content that appears to contain contact details. This rule helps protect students and Users from fraud and unsafe contact.
8.2 Names before acceptance. In search results and on public profiles, Tutors are shown by first name and last initial (for example, "Hany G."). Before acceptance, the Tutor sees the Requester's first name and last initial and whether the Requester is a Parent, Adult Student or Educational Center.
8.3 After acceptance. When a Tutor accepts a Request, the Platform shares the full names, email addresses and phone numbers on file of the Tutor and the Requester with each other, and the Tutor's personal website if the Tutor added one. These details are shared only with the two parties to that Request. After acceptance, the parties may keep using the Platform's messaging or communicate directly.
8.4 Private information never shared. A Tutor's street address and every User's date of birth are never shown to other Users.
8.5 Use of contact details. Contact details received through the Platform may be used only to arrange and carry out the Lessons discussed in that Request. They must not be used for marketing, shared with others, or used after the other side asks you to stop.
8.6 Messages. Messages sent through the Platform are stored so both parties can see their conversation history. We do not routinely read messages. We may review them when a User reports a concern, to enforce these Terms, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as the law requires.
9. Lesson Credits
9.1 What Credits Are. Lesson credits let Tutors accept Requests. Starting, purchased and referral credits never expire. Unused Great Membership renewal credits do not roll over. They have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred or withdrawn. Credits are non-refundable and are lost if the account is deleted. Exceptions for spam, fraud or a Platform error are reviewed by us under Section 9.4.
9.2 Starting Credits. Tutors who sign up and complete their profile before December 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM (New York time) get 10 free lesson credits and Great Membership. Tutors who join after that deadline get 3 free lesson credits once, without annual renewal. The account is free until the free credits are used. Starting credits do not expire. Great Members receive 10 more lesson credits every August 1 while their account is active, or at their first reactivation if inactive on August 1. Unused renewal credits do not roll over. See our Program Rules.
9.3 When Credits Are Used. Each Request a Tutor accepts uses one lesson credit. Sending, receiving, viewing or declining a Request costs nothing. A single Request can use at most 2 credits in total. For example, a Parent may reopen a Request and another Tutor may accept it. Acceptance does not guarantee a Lesson or payment.
9.4 Refunds and Exceptions. If a Parent declines after the Tutor accepts, the credit stays used. There is no refund. A credit also stays used if the parties do not agree on price, schedule or other terms. We review exceptions for spam, fraud or a Platform error. Contact legal@usagreattutors.com to request a review.
9.5 No collusion. Agreeing with a Requester to decline, cancel or understate a Request in order to avoid using credits, or to move arrangements off the Platform for that purpose, is prohibited.
10. Profiles, Review and Accuracy
10.1 Review before publishing. We review Tutor and Educational Center profiles before they are published. We aim to review new profiles within 24 hours, but review times are not guaranteed. We may approve or reject a profile, or ask for changes, and we will give a reason for a rejection.
10.2 Changes after approval. While a profile is under review, it cannot be edited. A Tutor may withdraw a profile from review to make changes and then submit it again. If you change a published profile, it is hidden from search and public pages until we approve the changes.
10.3 Profile content. You are responsible for everything in your profile. Tutors must use a clear, recent photo of their own face. Profiles must not include children, logos used without permission, or contact details in places where we do not display them. Profiles must not promise a passing result, a score or a grade.
10.4 Profile claims. We may request documents to support profile claims. Labels such as "College Student Tutor" or "Parents Welcome" are statements made by the Tutor, unless we say we checked them.
10.5 Subject notes. Some subjects carry special rules, marked with a star (★) when a Tutor chooses them, such as Section 17.5 (beauty), 17.6 (personal finance and taxes), 17.7 (U.S. Citizenship Test) and the in-person location rules for certain activities. A Tutor who offers these subjects must follow those rules.
11. Teaching Certificates and the Certified Teacher Badge
11.1 What we check. A Tutor may add a state teaching certificate to their profile, including the state, the certificate type, the certification areas, and an image or copy of the certificate. For Florida, certification areas are chosen from the official list published by the Florida Department of Education. For other states, the Tutor types the areas. Before showing a badge, our team reviews the uploaded document and confirms that it appears to match the Tutor's name, state and certification areas.
11.2 The badge. After we verify a certificate, the Tutor may choose to show a "Certified Teacher" badge on their profile and in search results, with the state and certification area (for example, "Certified Teacher · Florida · Mathematics (Grades 6–12)"). Parents may filter search results to show certified teachers only.
11.3 What the badge does not mean. The badge means only that we reviewed a document that appeared to be a valid state teaching certificate at the time of review. It is not a background check, a criminal-record check, an endorsement, or a guarantee of the Tutor's skill, conduct or results. We do not continuously monitor certificates for expiration, suspension or revocation.
11.4 Changes and removal. If a Tutor edits any certificate details, the badge is removed until we verify the certificate again. We may remove a badge at any time if we have reason to believe a certificate is invalid, expired, suspended or misrepresented. Uploading a false, altered or another person's certificate is a material breach of these Terms.
11.5 Your own checks. Parents and Adult Students may confirm a teacher's certificate directly with the issuing state's education department.
12. Background Checks
We do not currently offer background checks. A profile may not state or suggest that the Tutor has passed a background check through the Platform.
If we add any other verification in the future, we will explain in these Terms exactly what it covers. Only items we label will have been checked by us.
Parents and Adult Students should check credentials and references themselves before the first Lesson.
13. Educational Centers, Schools and Community Centers
An Educational Center may create a profile. Its paid plans are in setup and are not live yet. It is responsible for screening, licensing and supervising the Tutors and staff who work with it, under its own policies and the law.
An approved Educational Center may send Requests to Tutors for its students, under Section 7. Before sharing any student information in a Request, the Center must have any permission it needs from the student's Parent.
Tutors who work with an Educational Center are not listed under the Center's profile, and they may also hold their own Tutor account.
Any agreement, contract, payment or arrangement between an Educational Center and Parents, students, Tutors or its staff is made directly by the Center and is outside the responsibility of Great USA LLC.
A Community or Nonprofit Center that offers free or low-cost lessons may qualify for a free Plan after we confirm its nonprofit status. We may ask for reasonable proof, such as an EIN we can confirm with the IRS or one supporting document, and may end the free Plan if the status changes.
14. Search Results and Sponsored Placements
14.1 Order. Eligible Tutors appear in random order by default, and the order changes between searches. In-person results are limited to the distance you choose around the ZIP code you enter and the Tutor's own travel area. Online results may include eligible Tutors anywhere in the United States.
14.2 Sorting and filters. You may choose to sort results by price or years of experience, or to filter them, for example by price, availability, teaching language, group Lessons, free or reduced-price options, or certified teachers. When reviews are available, sorting by rating may be added. Buying lesson credits or a learning center plan does not improve anyone's position in search results.
14.3 Who appears. Only complete, approved profiles appear. Profiles with pending changes, and suspended or hidden profiles, do not appear in search results or on any public page.
14.4 Sponsored placements. Featured placements are in setup and are not live yet. Tutor featured placement is $50. When available, Tutors and Educational Centers may buy Sponsored placements, which appear in separate areas of the Platform, such as a rotating section on the home page, and are always labeled "Sponsored." Sponsored placements are advertising. They never change the order of search results. Rotating sections can be paused, and on mobile they move only when you swipe.
Promotions and Programs
We may offer promotions, programs, or rewards (such as membership benefits or referral rewards). Each one is subject to the rules posted on its page on our site, which we may update. If a program's rules conflict with these Terms, these Terms control.
15. Credit Packs and Learning Center Plans
15.1 Free Sign-Up. Creating an account is free. Parents, Adult Students and Educational Centers do not pay us to search or send Requests.
15.2 Prepaid Credit Packs. Tutors can buy 10 credits for $60, 20 credits for $100, or 30 credits for $120. Sales tax may apply depending on the state. Pack purchases will open soon. Billing is not live yet. See the Lesson Credits & Refund Policy.
15.2.1 Lesson Credit Usage. One lesson credit covers one lesson for one student. A private lesson with a small group uses one credit per student: 2 students = 2 credits; 3 students = 3 credits. A private small group may have at most 5 students. Lessons with more than 5 students must be group courses on the site, subject to the group-course rules and revenue split.
15.3 Great Membership and Referrals. Great Membership, starting credits and referral rewards follow our Program Rules. Families who sign up and confirm their email before December 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM (New York time), receive early booking for January courses before public enrollment at launch prices, 10 coupons each membership year (five 5% off and five 10% off) for group classes and courses only, not private lessons, and priority registration for free review sessions and courses. The membership year runs August 1 to July 31. The first coupon set is valid until July 31, 2027. A new set of 10 is added every August 1 while the account is active. Unused coupons expire on July 31 and do not carry over. Coupons appear in the parent's account and are applied at checkout. One coupon per booking. If more than one discount applies, only the larger discount is used; the other stays available for another booking. Organization coupons are valid for 3 months from issue. Each qualified referred Tutor earns the referrer 1 free lesson credit. Each qualified referred learning center earns the referrer 5 free lesson credits.
15.4 Learning Center Plans. The regular plan is $100 and the featured plan is $250. Verified nonprofits are free. These plans are in setup and are not live yet.
15.5 Promotion Codes. We may offer promotion codes or discounts. Each code has its own terms, shown when you use it. Offers cannot be combined unless those terms allow it.
15.6 Personal Use. Credits are for the account holder's own Requests. Sharing an account, reselling access or accepting Requests for other Tutors is not permitted. If use appears to break this rule, we will contact you before taking action under Section 28.
15.7 No Commission. We never take a commission. Just a small flat fee per lesson that gets lower as you buy more. The fee is the lesson credit used when a Tutor accepts a Request, even if no Lesson takes place. Tutoring fees are paid directly between Users.
16. Great Classroom
16.1 What it is. Great Classroom is an optional virtual classroom on the Platform, with video, audio, a whiteboard and chat, for Lessons arranged through an accepted Request. Group Lessons in Great Classroom may include up to four students. Tutors may use Great Classroom or any other platform they list on their profile.
16.2 Availability. Great Classroom is not live yet. We will explain access conditions before it becomes available.
16.3 Provider and data location. Great Classroom runs on BigBlueButton software operated by a third-party hosting provider. Live audio and video are served from data centers in the United States. The provider stores attendance and activity reports, such as display names and participation data, in its data center in the United Arab Emirates. We send the provider short display names (first name and last initial), not full names or contact details. Our Privacy Policy names the provider and explains these transfers.
16.4 No recording. Recording is turned off in Great Classroom. Chat and shared content are deleted when the session ends. Users must not record any Lesson by any other means (see Section 17.2).
16.5 Learning reports. After a session, the Tutor and the Requester may see a learning report, such as attendance and participation. If we store a copy of these reports on the Platform, we will say so in the Privacy Policy.
16.6 Service limits. Great Classroom depends on the provider and on each User's internet connection. We do not guarantee that it will be available at all times or free of interruption. If Great Classroom is unavailable, Users may hold their Lesson on another platform.
17. Safety Rules
These rules are conditions of using the Platform. Breaking them may lead to action under Section 28.
17.1 Permitted locations. Lessons may take place online, or in person only at (a) a suitable public place, such as a library, a café or a community facility, (b) the premises of an Educational Center, or (c) a commercial studio or sports facility suitable for the activity, such as a dance or music studio, a martial arts school, a gym, or a sports field or court, that is not located in a private residence. In-person Lessons at any private residence are prohibited, including the Tutor's home, the student's home, and any business operated from a residence. In-person Lessons for activities such as ballet, baking and skincare must take place at an Educational Center or studio suitable for the activity, or online. Each location has its own rules, which Users must follow.
17.2 Lessons involving Minor Students.
- All arrangements, including time, place, price, payment and cancellation, are made with the Parent or the Educational Center.
- Links to online Lessons, including Great Classroom links, are sent to the Parent's account, not to the student.
- Tutors must not ask a Minor Student for a personal phone number, email address or social media account, and must not contact a Minor Student outside Lessons without the Parent's consent.
- For online Lessons, a Parent must be at home during the Lesson.
- Lessons must not be recorded by anyone, on any platform.
- Cameras are turned on only when the student and the Parent are ready.
- If anything inappropriate appears on camera, the Tutor must turn off their camera or end the Lesson immediately and inform the Parent.
Tutors accept these rules when they submit their profile. Requesters see a reminder when they send a Request and in the acceptance email.
17.3 Reporting. Anyone can report a safety concern using Report a Safety Concern on a profile or a Request, or by emailing safety@usagreattutors.com. Reports are not monitored around the clock. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
When we receive a report, we review it and may ask the reported User to respond. Every report has more than one side, so we consider the response before reaching a decision. For a serious report, such as one involving the safety of a child or inappropriate conduct, we may hide the profile or suspend the account while we review it. We may keep information related to a report, including related Requests and messages, even if the account is closed or deletion is requested, and we may delay notifying the reported User where notice could put someone at risk.
False or malicious reports are prohibited and may lead to action under Section 28.
17.4 Authorities. We are not a law-enforcement agency and do not conduct criminal investigations. Where we reasonably believe a child or any person is at risk, or that unlawful activity has occurred, we may preserve and share relevant information with law enforcement, child-protection authorities or courts, as the law requires or permits.
17.5 Beauty lessons. Beauty lessons on the Platform teach students to do their own makeup, skincare, hair or nails. They are not training toward any state cosmetology, barbering or other license, and Tutors must not present them as licensed training. Providing beauty services on other people through the Platform is not allowed.
17.6 Personal finance and tax lessons. Lessons in personal finance and taxes are educational only. Tutors must not prepare or file tax returns, give personal tax, legal or investment advice for a student's own situation, or represent anyone before the IRS or any tax authority through the Platform.
17.7 U.S. Citizenship Test lessons. Lessons for the U.S. Citizenship Test are test preparation only. Tutors must not give immigration legal advice or help complete immigration forms through the Platform.
18. Users Outside the United States
18.1 Who may use the Platform. Parents, Adult Students and Educational Centers located outside the United States may create accounts and send Requests, subject to this Section. Tutors must be based in the United States.
18.2 Online only. Requesters outside the United States may request online Lessons only.
18.3 Restricted countries. You may not use the Platform if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you are on a U.S. government list of restricted parties. We may block access from those locations.
18.4 Time zones. Availability is shown with its time zone. Users are responsible for confirming Lesson times in their own time zone.
18.5 Payments. Some payment methods Tutors list, such as Zelle or Venmo, may work only inside the United States. Requesters and Tutors must agree on a payment method that works for both before the first Lesson.
18.6 Local law. If you use the Platform from outside the United States, you are responsible for following the laws that apply where you are, including laws on education, data and payments. Section 35 still applies, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live.
19. Tutoring Fees, Group Lessons and Cancellations
19.1 Fees. Tutors set an hourly rate for online Lessons and, if offered, for in-person Lessons. Lessons are 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Time after the first hour is priced at the hourly rate less the extra-time discount the Tutor chooses. Prices shown on the Platform are set by each Tutor; confirm the final price directly with the Tutor.
19.2 Payment. Tutors and Requesters agree on fees and pay one another directly, using the methods the Tutor lists. We do not process, hold or guarantee tutoring payments, and we cannot refund money we did not receive.
19.3 Group Lessons. A Tutor may offer group Lessons of up to four students. Two students take 90 minutes, and three or four students take 120 minutes. A Tutor may propose combining students who requested the same subject at the same time, and a Parent may suggest another student. Each family must agree, and no family sees another family's details before everyone agrees. After that, only students' first names with last initials, and their grades, are shared.
19.4 Cancellations. A Tutor must cancel a Lesson at least 24 hours in advance and tell the Requester the reason. Repeated late cancellations may be reported through reviews or to safety@usagreattutors.com and may lead to action under Section 28. Other cancellation terms are agreed between the parties.
19.5 Disputes between Users. Disputes over fees, cancellations, refunds or Lesson quality are between the parties. We may, but are not required to, help Users communicate.
20. Free Intro Sessions and Free or Reduced-Price Tutoring
A Tutor may offer a free intro session of 15 or 30 minutes, and free or reduced-price tutoring for families who need it. These offers are set and honored by each Tutor.
We do not ask for income information or proof of income, and Tutors must not demand it through the Platform.
21. Academic Integrity
Tutors help students learn. Tutors must not complete graded assignments, take tests or online classes for a student, or help a student break their school's honor code. Requesters must not ask them to.
Tutors must not promise or advertise a guaranteed passing result, score or grade on any test or course.
22. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- give false information, impersonate anyone, or create more than one personal account;
- upload a false, altered or another person's certificate or credential;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or exploit anyone;
- break any rule in Section 17;
- share or ask for contact details before a Request is accepted, or try to get around the Platform's contact-detail protections, as Section 8 describes;
- enter a student's full name where the Platform asks for a first name with last initial or initials;
- collect other Users' information for purposes unrelated to arranging Lessons;
- send spam, send Requests you do not intend to pursue, or use the Platform to advertise unrelated services;
- avoid lesson credits by collusion, as Section 9.5 describes;
- post fake reviews, offer anything in exchange for a review, or pressure someone to change or remove a review;
- upload malware, scrape the Platform, try to access accounts or systems without permission, or interfere with the Platform's operation;
- record Lessons, or share Great Classroom links with people not invited to the Lesson;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- use the Platform from a restricted location, as Section 18.3 describes;
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
These rules do not prohibit lawful uses, good-faith reports to us or to authorities, or rights the law protects.
23. Reviews and User Content
23.1 Rate Great Tutor. After a Request is accepted, the Requester may rate the Tutor and explain the rating. Minor Students do not write reviews. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences.
23.2 Moderation. We do not remove or hide a review because it is negative. We may remove reviews that contain abuse, threats, personal information, content unrelated to the Lesson, or statements we reasonably believe are false. Tutors may publicly reply to a review once.
23.3 Your content. You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your profile text, photo, messages and reviews. You give Great USA LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format and distribute it to operate and promote the Platform, until you remove it, except where we must keep it under Section 17.3, Section 27 or the law. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload.
23.4 Removal. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
24. Related Brands and Optional Offers
USA Great Web Pros is another brand owned and operated by Great USA LLC. Tutors and Educational Centers may choose to be contacted about website services. This choice is optional, does not affect profile review, and can be withdrawn at any time, as our Privacy Policy describes. Any website services are governed by USA Great Web Pros' own terms, not these Terms.
25. Our Intellectual Property
The USA Great Tutors name, logo, design and Platform content owned by us are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reuse or create works based on them without our permission, except as the law allows.
26. Third-Party Services
Some features use services provided by other companies (for example, video classrooms, payment processing, text messages, and email). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
Users may use video platforms, payment apps and other services of their choice with one another. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, security or conduct.
The Platform relies on service providers, such as hosting, database, email, payment, sign-in and virtual classroom providers. We remain responsible for our own obligations under these Terms when we use them.
27. Closing Your Account and Data Retention
27.1 How to close. You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@usagreattutors.com from the email address on your account.
27.2 What happens. When an account is closed, it is hidden immediately, and its Requests and contact details are no longer available to the other party. When deletion is completed, we delete the profile, photos, uploaded documents and Requests linked to the account, as our Privacy Policy describes.
27.3 What we may keep. We may keep limited information after closure where needed to handle a safety report under Section 17.3, to prevent fraud or repeat misuse, to resolve disputes, to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, or as the law requires. Copies in secure backups are deleted on our normal backup schedule.
27.4 Lesson Credits. All unused lesson credits are lost if the account is deleted. Credits are non-refundable, subject to our review of spam, fraud or a Platform error under Section 9.4. The Lesson Credits & Refund Policy applies.
27.5 Inactive Accounts. Accounts that never confirm their email are deleted after 7 days. Tutor and learning center accounts, including nonprofit centers, that confirm their email but never complete and submit a profile for review receive reminders and are deleted after 60 days. We send reminders at days 7 and 21 and a final warning at day 53. These days count from sign-up or the date we first enable this cleanup, whichever is later. Parent and adult student accounts with a confirmed email are not deleted for inactivity. Accounts that have ever submitted a profile for review or made a paid credit purchase are excluded.
28. Suspension and Termination
28.1 Grounds. We may restrict, suspend or close an account, hide a profile, or remove a badge, for a material breach of these Terms, a serious safety concern, fraud, false credentials, misuse involving a minor, repeated late cancellations, or payment fraud.
28.2 Fair process. Where it is safe and practical, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond before a final decision. In urgent cases involving safety or unlawful activity, we may act first and explain afterward. Action will be proportionate to the issue.
28.3 Effect. A suspended or hidden profile does not appear in search or on any public page and cannot receive new Requests. A suspended account cannot send, accept or continue Requests or messages. We may close the open Requests of a suspended or hidden account.
28.4 Survival. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 8.5, 17.3, 17.4, 23.3, 27.3, 30, 31, 32 and 34.
29. Electronic Communications and Notices
You agree to receive notices, receipts and other communications from us electronically, including emails about your Requests. Email to the address on your account and notices in your account count as written notice, where the law allows.
Legal notices to us go to legal@usagreattutors.com. Where the law requires another method of notice, that method will be used.
30. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that the Platform, including Great Classroom, will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any Tutor or Educational Center is suitable for you, or that any Lesson will achieve a particular result, such as a grade or test score.
We are not responsible for the conduct of Users, the content of Lessons, or what happens at Lesson locations, except to the extent of our own obligations under these Terms and the law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
31. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Great USA LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, opportunities or data, arising from the Platform or any Lesson.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct.
32. Indemnification
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify Great USA LLC against third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that arise from your breach of these Terms, your Lessons, or content you submit, except to the extent they are caused by our own fault or breach.
A party seeking indemnification will notify the other promptly and allow reasonable cooperation in the defense. No settlement may impose an obligation on the other party without its consent.
33. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
Neither party is responsible for a delay or failure caused by an event beyond its reasonable control, such as a hurricane, flood, fire, widespread internet or power outage, a failure of a third-party provider, or government action, to the extent the event directly prevents performance. The affected party will try to limit the effect and resume as soon as practical. Such an event does not cancel amounts already owed.
34. Disputes with Us
34.1 Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with Great USA LLC, please email legal@usagreattutors.com with your account email and a description of the issue. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. This step does not stop any legal deadline from running and does not prevent urgent relief.
34.2 No mandatory arbitration. These Terms do not require arbitration. Either party may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
34.3 Courts. Subject to mandatory law, disputes arising from these Terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida. If you live in another state or country, any consumer protections that apply to you by law still apply.
34.4 Complaints to authorities. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from filing a complaint with a government or regulatory authority.
35. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, to the extent the law allows. Florida law does not remove any mandatory rights that the law of your state or country gives you.
36. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on the Platform with a new Last Updated date, and changes take effect when posted unless we say otherwise. For material changes, we will also notify account holders by email or in their account, and ask for consent where the law requires it. If you continue to use the Platform after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Platform and close your account. Changes do not apply retroactively and do not remove rights you have already gained.
37. General Provisions
37.1 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
37.2 No waiver. A delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
37.3 Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies they reference are the entire agreement between you and us about the Platform.
37.4 Assignment. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you.
38. Relationship of the Parties
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between Great USA LLC and any User. Neither party may bind the other.
39. Languages
These Terms may be available in English and Spanish. Translations are provided for convenience. If there is a genuine conflict, the English version controls, to the extent the law allows. A translation error will not be used to impose obligations you did not agree to.

Lesson Request Timing and Additional Tutors
Urgent invitations expire after 24 hours; scheduled invitations expire after seven days. Each new round receives its own expiry; earlier invitations retain theirs. Previously invited Tutors are excluded, and urgent invitations require Tutor opt-in. Sending uses no credit. Parents may have one open request per subject and student. For chosen or specific tutor requests, identical initial invitations sent within 10 minutes may reach up to three Tutors in one group. Send to More Tutors opens 1 hour after the last send for urgent requests and 24 hours for scheduled requests, up to two additional rounds, three new Tutors per round and nine Tutors total. Find Another Tutor opens 1 hour after acceptance, once within seven days, for up to three new Tutors. The first Tutor’s acceptance credit stays used; one request group uses at most two credits. The first acceptance in each stage closes the other pending invitations.
Parents may choose up to three Tutors in one request, request a specific Tutor, or, when available, send to all matching Tutors under a maximum hourly price (up to 25 per send, one additional round and one replacement round of up to 25, at most 75 recipients total). All three ways keep the same acceptance credit rules: the first acceptance closes the other pending invitations, the first Tutor’s credit stays used, and a group uses at most two credits.
