Lesson Credits, No Commission

We never take a commission. Just a small flat fee per lesson that gets lower as you buy more.

How It Works

  1. Receiving requests is free.
  2. Each request you accept uses one lesson credit.
  3. Buy more credits when you need them.

Free Starting Credits

Tutors who sign up and complete their profile before December 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM (New York time) get 10 free lesson credits and Great Membership. Tutors who join after that deadline get 3 free lesson credits once, without annual renewal. Great Members receive 10 more lesson credits every August 1 while their account is active, or at their first reactivation if inactive on August 1. Unused renewal credits do not roll over. Starting credits are granted once per account. Lesson credits are not deducted yet. We will email you before they start.

Your account is free until your free credits are used. There is no time limit.

Prices are per student. A lesson with 2–5 students uses one credit per student. Groups of 6 or more must be a group course on the site.

Credits never expire. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax may apply depending on your state.

Credit pack purchases will open soon. Billing is not live yet. We will email members before paid features begin.

Tutors set their own lesson rates, and families pay tutors directly for private lessons. Tutors use lesson credits and buy lesson packs after using their free credits. No commission. Lesson credits are not deducted yet. We will email you before they start.

Earn Free Credits

Tutors can refer a tutor and get 1 free credit, or refer a learning center and get 5 free credits. Each referral must meet the program requirements.

Lesson Credit Questions

What If a Parent Declines After I Accept?

The credit stays used. There is no refund for a parent declining after you accept.

How Many Credits Can One Request Use?

A request can use at most 2 credits in total. For example, a parent may reopen it and another tutor may accept.

Do Credits Expire?

Starting, purchased and referral credits never expire. Unused Great Membership renewal credits do not roll over.

Can I Get a Refund?

Credits are non-refundable. We review exceptions for spam, fraud or a platform error.

Is There a Monthly Fee?

No. Tutors pay for credit packs when they need them. There is no monthly fee.
